Countdown To WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two Pre-Show Results (4/19/26)
The Countdown To WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two Pre-Show opens up with a look of Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium.
We then see the arrivals of Oba Femi, Rhea Ripley, WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill an WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and we get a video package on WrestleMania 42.
Joe Tessitore then welcomes us to the show and he introduces Wade Barrett, Corey Graves and Big E as his co-hosts. They then discuss the card for tonight and Joe asks what are they looking forward to. Big E says he is looking forward to Oba Femi. Corey then mentions the ladder match and Wade mentions the main event.
We then take a look back at the main event and the aftermath of last night’s WrestleMania 42 Night One Event. Jackie Redmond has an update on Cody Rhodes. She says that Cody is not medically cleared. Jackie then says he needed four staples to the back of the head. Jackie then says he has suffered an orbital injury.
Byron Saxton then talks about Brock Lesnar. Jackie Redmond then talks about what The Undertaker had to say about Oba Femi. Peter Rosenberg then talks about CM Punk and Cathy Kelley talks about Roman Reigns.
Michael Cole then interviews Roman Reigns. Roman says it feels different when he is here because it is his family business. Roman then says when you are meant to do this. Roman then says he was born for it. Roman then says it was God’s plan to put him and his family in this position. Cole then asks about Roman and WrestleMania. Roman says it is his legacy. Roman then says he told the twins this is their family’s legacy. Roman then says to have 11 main events, he is proud of it.
He is then asked about CM Punk and 2012 with The Shield. Roman says nothing drew him to Punk. Roman then says the higher powers put him into the group. Roman then says Punk was cool to him and they traveled and trained with him. Roman then says you don’t take out what is going on with the office on the boys. Roman then says he was being CM Punk and he took his ball and went home. Cole then asks if Roman is irked because Punk wasn’t here while you were rising to the top. It is then said that we will hear more later.
The panel then talks about the World Heavyweight Championship Match between CM Punk and Roman Reigns.
The results of WrestleMania 42 Night One are then shown and we see highlights of everything that went down on the show.
We then take a look back at Night One. Joe asks what stood out on night one. Big E mentions Seth and GUNTHER, Corey mentions the return of Paige. Wade then mentions IShowSpeed’s frog splash, while Corey mentions Bianca’s announcement. Joe then asks who are the winners of the night. Big E picks Becky’s ego and Corey mentions Bron Breakker. Wade then mentions Liv Morgan.
The panel then talks about the WrestleMania debuts this year.
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T then interviews Trick Williams, Lash Legend and Je’Von Evans. Booker asks Je’Von if this is overwhelming. Je’Von says he is nervous. Je’Von then says the emotions will hit when he walks out. Booker then asks Trick if he is the next big Superstar. Trick says he has been through the ups and downs. Trick then says he has made sacrifices. Trick then says it is up to the people to be the next big thing. Trick then says he will be confident.
Booker then asks Lash about her first WrestleMania. Lash says she would go hard for everything and it was proven when she walked in the ring. Lash then says she got confidence and she got called up. Booker then asks Je’Von about the ladder match and capturing the moment. Je’Von says he has a goal in mind and he wants to make history. Booker then asks Trick about facing Sami Zayn. Trick says four months ago, they were in NXT and now he is at WrestleMania. Trick then says Sami doesn’t think he belongs. Trick then says he will win the title.
We then take a look at the United States Title Match with a video package.
Peter Rosenberg then interviews Trick Williams and Lil Yachty. Peter asks Trick how he is doing. Trick says he is on cloud nine and he is the anointed one. Peter then asks Yachty how he feels. Yachty says he is blessed standing with Trick. Peter then asks Trick about having Yachty with him. He then says they are here to represent the culture and he will become the new champion.
Byron Saxton then interviews Jade Cargill. Byron asks if Jade lived up to the hype. Jade says she is a two time tag team champion, Queen of the Ring and the champion. Byron then asks about her change in attitude and what the difference is. Jade says she is herself. Jade then says she tried to abide by the rules, but that didn’t work. Byron then asks Jade about facing Rhea. Jade ignores the question and says her make up is impressive. Jade then says there is nothing else about Rhea that impresses her.
Byron then asks Jade about her comments and why people don’t see her as a locker room leader. Byron then asks about B-Fab and Michin. Jade says it is business and they are allies. Jade then says they want to take over. Byron then asks about IYO SKY having Rhea’s back. Jade says she is not worried about IYO. Byron then asks about her confidence. Jade says it isn’t her first rodeo. Jade then says she is undefeated. Jade then says she has beaten former champions.
Vic Joseph then interviews Joe Hendry. Vic asks Joe about his appearance at WrestleMania last year and the previous year. Joe says he signed with NXT and won the championship. Joe then says would that have happened if he face last night’s Randy Orton. Vic then asks about his match against Keanu Carver. Joe vows to get revenge. Vic then asks what is next. Joe says if you say his name, he will appear.
The panel then talks about the Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar match.
Michael Cole then talks about how people consider WrestleMania 17 as one of the best of all time and we take a look at the main event.
We then get a video package on the history of WrestleMania written and narrated by Mark Kriegel.
We then take a look at the Dominik Mysterio vs. Finn Bálor match with a video package and the panel talks about the match.
Dominik Mysterio complains about how he shouldn’t be wrestling The Demon and Adam Pearce tells Dominik it will now be a Street Fight.
Wade Barrett then leaves the panel to get ready to call the action for tonight’s show and the panel talks about the Street Fight.
Jackie Redmond then interviews Dominik Mysterio. She asks about the Street Fight. Dominik says Pearce is giving Finn all the help he needs because Finn can’t beat him. Dominik then says he signed to wrestle Finn Bálor. Dominik then says Finn doesn’t know his demons and Finn will have to worry about his demons.
Tyrese Haliburton then joins the panel and we get a video package on the history of Ladder Matches taking place at WrestleMania.
We then take a look at the WWE Intercontinental Championship Six-Pack Challenge Ladder Match with a video package and the panel talks about the match.
Cathy Kelley then interviews WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. Cathy asks Rey how does he feel. Rey says he is in the ring with the new generation. Rey then says he is excited and anxious. Rey then says this is a big moment because he missed last year’s show. Rey then says it was unfortunate that he got hurt the night before WrestleMania. Rey then says a year later, this is a special moment. Rey then says luck is on his side.
We then get a video package of several celebrities and stars talking about their best moments in WrestleMania.
We then take a look at the COSM experience from last night and IShowSpeed hitting a frog splash on Logan Paul through a table from the perspective of several languages, with Michael Cole and Marcelo Rodriguez talking about the damage done to the English commentary desk.
We then get a video package of wrestlers getting sent through a table. We then get a video package of a top 10 countdown of WrestleMania entrances.
Tyrese Haliburton then does the Oba Femi strut and we go inside Allegiant Stadium with Jackie Redmond and Peter Rosenberg, where they talk about several moments from WrestleMania 42 Night One.
The panel then discusses ESPN’s involvement with WWE and the card for tonight’s WrestleMania 42 Night Two is shown.
Joe Tessitore then interviews WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. Joe asks about last year with John Cena and what meant the most to him. Triple H says John’s happiness and giving back to the business going out. Triple H then says for John to go out the way he wanted to. Joe then brings up how John wanted to pay it forward and the new talent at WrestleMania this year. Triple H says this is what the Performance Center was established for. Triple H then talks about being in the ring with Brock and Oba and he describes the feeling. Triple H then says Oba’s credibility and aura has made his interactions with Brock mean more.
Joe then asks about Jade and Rhea. Triple H says Jade looks like a comic book character that came to life. Triple H then says there is a lot of pressure to back everything up. Triple H then says for Rhea, as soon as the music plays, whatever she does works. Joe then asks about Roman and Punk. Triple H says there are epic levels of tension and you worry that it is going to go unprofessional. Triple H then says this is real and people cannot fathom the amount of f*** you between them. Triple H then says they are not trying to get the crowd to react, but they are saying things directly to the other.
We then take a look at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match with a video package and the panel talks about the match.
The panel then talks about the WWE Women’s Championship Match between Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley.
We then see the arrivals of several Superstars and we get a video package on WrestleMania narrated by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
We then take a look back at the main event of last night’s WrestleMania 42 Night One event and the aftermath of Cody’s injury. Jackie Redmond then gives us an update on Cody.
Byron Saxton then talks about Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi and Cathy Kelley talks about Roman Reigns. Peter Rosenberg then talks about CM Punk.
Corey Graves then interviews CM Punk. Corey asks about the rivalry with Roman Reigns, starting with the Shield. Punk says he talked to all three guys in the Shield and he told them that what they did before means nothing. Punk then says do something so you are never forgotten. Punk then says he asked them and Roman said he wanted to provide for his daughter. Punk then says Roman might have what it takes because when your dad is a famous wrestler, you are given some benefits. Corey then asks if Punk respects Roman.
Punk then says he does not care if you don’t respect him, but don’t disrespect him. Punk then says he is very prideful. Punk then says Roman gets hurt when you do better than he does. Punk then says Roman puts his family above everything else, but then he thinks it is okay to be a part timer. Corey then asks about the Sika comment. Punk says he did cross the line. Punk then says that is what he does. Punk then says he will get in your head. Punk then says he has all the respect for Sika, Afa and all of the wild Samoans. Punk then says Roman needs to be taught a lesson. Punk then says he knows he is better than that, but that is his game plan.
Corey then asks why doesn’t he think Roman will be able to do it alone. Punk says he never has. Punk then says he is someone’s idea that had to go across the goal line. Punk then says do you remember the WrestleManias that Roman main evented. Punk then says you remember the ones he lost. Corey then asks what happens if he wins tonight. Punk says you will get a champion who will be there every week. Punk then says you will get a fighting champion.
We then take a look at the life story and journey of Oba Femi with a video package and comments from several people, including Oba himself. Oba says he does not know his own strength. Oba then says he is stronger than he knows. Oba then says he lived on hard work in Nigeria. Oba then says it was a harder life than it should have been. Oba then says his favorites are Triple H and The Undertaker. Oba then says it was their aura and the larger than life personality. His coach at Alabama then says he was a man among boys and he was special. His strength coach then talks about how they wanted him to play football. Oba then says he was in love with the shot put so he was not going to play football. Oba then says he is motivated to win and he does not have the underdog feel. Oba then says that is why Brock standing across from him means so much. Oba then says this is his biggest challenge.
Big E, Daniel Cormier and Joe Tessitore then talk about the Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar match.
Peter Rosenberg is on the top of the ramp and he talks about the Superstars walking down the ramp and to the ring. Byron Saxton then talks about the excitement of the fans when Superstars do their moves. Cathy Kelley is at the announce desk and she talks about where Michael Cole and Wade Barrett will be calling tonight’s show. Jackie Redmond is now in the ring and she talks about how the mat is sacred.
Michael Cole then interviews CM Punk and he mentions that they met right before Punk left. Does it bother you that he came back and didn’t go through what he had to go through. Roman says he put in all the work to move on from people like CM Punk, John Cena, and the Rock. We are living off the nostalgia of CM Punk, but it isn’t 2012. The people who were supposed to carry the company s*** the bed. Roman says Punk brought his family in because he doesn’t have the clout or power.
Cole brings up Punk’s comments about being here every week and Roman’s response. Roman says for a man who missed ten years of work, he has told more people that he is rich. Phil, you missed ten years. You aren’t rich. Who are you going to pass things down to. What happens if Roman wins. Roman says he brings this place back to relevancy and brings things back to his levels. What if Roman loses. Roman says if he loses, he doesn’t belong in the WWE any more. If he loses, his work is done.
The panel then talks about the World Heavyweight Championship Match.
Alicia Taylor then introduces Joe Jonas and he sings The Star-Spangled Banner and the Countdown To WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two Pre-Show comes to a close.
WWE WrestleMania 42 Sunday Results (4/19/2026)
WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two opens up with Trick Williams arriving with Lil Yachty. Rhea Ripley is then shown walking into Allegiant Stadium. WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill is then shown casually hanging out backstage. A focused World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk is then shown arriving.
We then get a video package and Michael Cole and Wade Barrett welcomes us to the show.
John Cena’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Cena says they kicked off WrestleMania with a great night one. Cena then says the stage is set for a historic night two. Cena then says we have already made history. Cena then says for the first time, WrestleMania is live on ESPN. Cena then says that means they need to start with something big. Cena then welcomes everyone to WrestleMania.
Oba Femi then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of WrestleMania 42 Night Two and Brock Lesnar follows with Paul Heyman.
Singles Match: “The Ruler” Oba Femi vs. “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar
The match starts off with both men locking up and they go to a stalemate with Brock pushing Oba. Both men then lock up again and Oba pushes Brock away. Brock then sends Oba into the corner for shoulders and Oba pushes Brock down. Brock then goes for two clotheslines and Oba stays on his feet. Oba then clotheslines Brock and Brock goes to the floor to regroup. Brock then kicks the ring steps and he picks them up and throws them down.
Oba then grabs Brock and Brock pulls Oba to the floor and sends him into the ring post. Brock then sends Oba into the ring post and ring steps. Brock then hits a German suplex. Brock then hits another German suplex. Brock then hits a knee to the chest and one more German suplex. Brock then tries for another German, but Oba hits several elbows and running uppercuts into the corner. Brock then gets Oba up for an F5. Oba then gets out and hits a choke slam. Oba then hits a Fall From Grace for the win.

After the match, Brock sits up after not moving for a period of time. He then removes his gloves and he unties his boots and takes them off. Brock then puts them in the middle of the ring and waves to the crowd. Paul Heyman then gets in the ring and he looks at Brock and they hug. Brock then takes a minute to soak it all in with the fans. He then high fives several fans on the way to the back with Paul Heyman.
We then get the entrances of the next match of WrestleMania 42 Night Two.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Six-Pack Challenge Ladder Match:Penta (c) vs. “The Young OG” Je’Von Evans vs. Dragon Lee vs. The Judgment Day’s JD McDonagh vs. “The Lion of Bulgaria” Rusev vs. WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio
The match starts off with JD kicking Evans. Penta then hits a cross body to Rusev. JD then hits a kick to Lee, but Rey, Lee and Penta work over JD. Rey then hits a baseball slide and Penta hits a hesitation drop kick. Rey, Lee and Penta then look at the title belt and Rusev pulls Rey to the floor and sends him into the ring steps. Lee and Penta then hit a double baseball slide to Rusev. Rusev then hits them with a ladder. Rusev then bridges a ladder across the apron and the table. Penta then hits a springboard drop kick to Rusev. JD then hits Penta with a ladder.
Evans then hits a plancha to JD. Evans then brings a ladder into the ring and Lee hits a rana to JD. Rey and Lee then toss a ladder aside and Rey hits several forearms. Lee then hits a kick. Rey then goes for a head scissors, but Lee blocks it and tries for a Styles Clash. Rey then blocks it and hits a rana. Rey then misses a 619 and Lee hits a super kick. Rusev then hits Lee with a ladder from the floor. Rusev then hits Evans with a ladder and he does the same to Penta and Rey. JD with strikes to Rusev an then Rusev hits a back body drop onto a ladder in the corner. Rusev is the first to climb the ladder and no one is in the ring until Penta stops him. Penta with a bulldog off the ladder.
Evans climbs the ladder but Penta stops him. JD climbs and Evans stops him. Evans stops JD on top and then rusv pushes them off and Evans hits a cross body on Penta. JD lands on the top rope and he gets back. Evans with a springboard clothesline to knock JD off. Lee sends Evans to the floor. Rey drop kicks Lee into the ropes with a ladder around him. Rey with a 619. Evans leaps over Rey to get on the ladder but Rey stops him. They fight on the ladder and Penta kicks Evans and then he kicks Rey. Penta with a suplex to Evans on the ladder. Lee with a springboard drop kick to Rey in the ladder. Lee knocks JD off the apron. Lee climbs and Rusev pulls him off the ladder. Rusev with a uranage.
Rusev then moves a ladder and he connects a ladder between it and the turnbuckles. Rusev then punches Evans. Rusev then hits a uranage onto the bridged ladder. Rusev then climbs the ladder and Penta hits a forearm to the back. Penta then hits a chop and a super kick. Rey then hits several kicks to Rusev and Rusev goes to the apron. Penta and Rey then have some words and Penta hits a kick. Rey then hits a kick to Penta and Penta sends Rey over the top rope onto Rusev and he hits a seated splash through the ladder.
Penta then climbs the ladder and Rey stops him and pulls him off. Rey then climbs and Penta stops him. Rey then hits a rana and Penta goes into the ladder and ropes. Rey then hits a 619. Rey then climbs the ladder and Lee stops him. Lee then hits a punch and Rey stops him. Rey then sends Lee’s head into the top of the ladder and Lee falls off. Lee then grabs Rey. Lee then catches Rey off the ladder and he hits a Styles Clash. Lee then climbs and JD stops him. JD then hits Spanish Fly off the ladder to the mat. JD then climbs the ladder and so does Penta. Penta then hits several forearms and a Destroyer off the ladder through the bridged ladder.
Evans is alone in the ring and he climbs the ladder. Rusev then returns to the ring and he pushes the ladder away, but Evans holds on to the belt. Rusev then sends Evans over the top rope and to the floor. Rusev then hobbles and he starts to climb the ladder. Evans then goes up top and Rusev comes off the ladder and Evans hits a cutter. Penta then hits a cutter to Evans and he climbs the ladder. Penta then has the title belt and he removes it from the hook.

Michael Cole then confirms that Brock Lesnar just called it a career and his time with WWE has ended.
Lil Yachty then introduces Trick Williams and Trick makes his way down to the ring for the next match of WrestleMania 42 Night Two. Sami Zayn then makes his way down to the ring next.
WWE United States Championship Match: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Trick Williams
The match starts off with both men exchange punches and Sami hit a clothesline. Sami then sends Trick into the turnbuckles and punches him. Sami then hits a chop and he springboards over Trick and clotheslines Trick over the top rope and to the floor. Sami then sets up for a dive to the floor, but Trick hits several clotheslines and a spinning heel kick. He then misses a jumping cyclone kick. Trick then hits a neck breaker. Trick then pulls Sami up for a uranage and he gets a near fall. Sami then hits a boot when Trick charges at him. Sami then hits a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Sami then kicks Trick and the referee warns him. Sami then hits several punches and the referee holds him back. Sami then kicks Trick in front of Yachty.
Sami then goes to the floor and he hits Yachty from behind with a forearm. Sami then sends Yachty into the ringside barrier. Sami then sends Trick into the ring post from the apron and he does it again. Sami then hits a brainbuster on the apron and the referee checks on him. The referee then starts his count and Trick leans against the ringside barrier. Sami then hits a Helluva Kick. Trick then beats the count to get back into the ring. Sami then kicks Trick while the referee checks on Trick.
Sami then sets up for a Helluva Kick, but Yachty grabs Sami and drops him on the ropes. Trick then gets a near fall. Trick then pulls the knee pad down and he goes for the jumping boot, but misses and almost hits the referee. Sami then gets a rollup for a near fall. Sami then hits an exploder into the turnbuckles. Sami then charges into the corner and Trick hits the Trick Shot for the win.

After the match, Trick Williams celebrates with Lil Yachty and his family. Trick then gets on the middle rope and raises the title.
Street Fight: “The Demon” Finn Bálor vs. The Judgment Day’s AAA Mega Champion “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio
The match starts off with The Demon crawling across the ring and Dominik goes to the apron. The Demon then gets up from a squat position and he takes Dominik down and punches Dominik many times. The Demon then hits a back elbow and several chops. He then sends Dominik into the turnbuckles and chops him. Dominik then hits a kick and The Demon blocks a kick and he sends him to the mat and kicks Dominik to the apron. The Demon then hits a clothesline to send Dominik to the floor. The Demon then sends Dominik into the announce desk and he gets a kendo stick and hits Dominik with it. The Demon then goes for a table and Dominik hits a suicide dive. Dominik then uses the kendo stick. Dominik then sends The Demon into the ring and he poses. Dominik then sends chairs into the ring.
Dominik then hits The Demon in the midsection and in the back. Dominik then hits a slingshot senton and he kicks The Demon. Dominik then sets up some chairs in the center of the ring and he sets up for a suplex through the chairs. The Demon then blocks it and he sends Dominik onto the chairs with a gourdbuster. The Demon then hits a sling blade. Dominik then hits a super kick and he drop kicks The Demon into the ropes and he hits a 619. Dominik then goes up top and hits a frog splash for a near fall. Dominik then misses with a chair shot and The Demon hits a GTR. The Demon then hits a drop kick to send Dominik into the corner. The Demon then hits another running drop kick. The Demon goes up top and he misses a Coup de Grace when Dominik moves. Dominik then hits The Demon with a chair and he gets a near fall.
Dominik then brings the table that The Demon got earlier and he brings it into the ring. Dominik then sets it up against the turnbuckles. The Demon then punches Dominik and Dominik tries to Irish whip The Demon into the table, but The Demon stops short and he hits a sling blade. Dominik then hits a super kick and Dominik sends The Demon through the table. Dominik then hits The Demon in the back with a chair to send him into the ropes. Dominik then puts a chair around The Demon’s head and hits a 619. Dominik then hits a frog splash for a near fall.
Dominik then hits The Demon in the back with a chair many times. Dominik then goes under the ring and he gets another table. Dominik then sets up the table. The Demon gets to his feet and he clotheslines Dominik. The Demon gets a chair and he hits Dominik with it many times in the back. The Demon puts the chair over Dominik’s head and he drop kicks Dominik into the turnbuckles and the chair flies off his neck. The Demon then puts Dominik on the table and he hits a Coup de Grace through the table for the win.

The match starts off with both women having words for each other before locking up. They go to the ropes and the referee forces a break. Jade pushes Rhea and Rhea misses a punch. Jade with a shoulder tackle and a slam. Rhea avoids a clothesline and Rhea with a kick and a face plant. Rhea with a drop kick to send Jade to the floor. Jade rakes th eyes and then he hits a power slam for a near fall. Jade sends Rhea into the turnbuckles and she kicks Rhea. Jade sends Rhea to the floor and Jade follows. Jade works on the back and she sends Rhea into the ringside barrier. Jade poses on the ringside barrier. Jade sends Rhea into the apron.
Jade then hits a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall and Rhea wants more from Jade. Jade then cinches in a cross face. Rhea then escapes and she gets Jade on her back. Jade then hits several elbows to get away from Rhea. Rhea then hits a kick to the head. Rhea then hits a double leg take down and several punches. Jade then gains the position and punches Rhea. They then go back and forth with forearms. Jade then hits a kick and Rhea hits a drop kick. Rhea then gets Jade on her shoulders and she sends Jade face first to the mat and she gets a near fall.
Jade then blocks a Rip Tide and she hits a hip toss. Jade then flips back into the ring and Rhea hits an elbow. Jade then hits a thrust kick and a spine buster for a near fall. Jade then sets up for Jaded, but Rhea counters with a victory roll for a near fall. Jade then goes for a power bomb and Rhea counters with a rana. Rhea then hits a flying boot. Michin is on the apron and she distract the referee. B-Fab then grabs Jade to stop Rhea from hitting a Razor’s Edge. Rhea then goes for a flying shoulder in the corner, but hits the ring post when Jade moves. Michin then gets a shot on Rhea and Jade hits a One Winged Angel for a near fall.
Jade then sends Rhea to the floor and Jade distracts the referee to allow Michin and Fab to do something, but the referee sees them and they freeze. IYO SKY’s music then hits and she runs to the ring. IYO then sends Michin into Fab and she hits a shotei and a back fist. IYO then gets on the apron and she hits an Asai Moonsault and Jade goes for a bicycle kick. Rhea then hits a head butt and tries for a Rip Tide, but Jade escapes and she hits a bicycle kick. Rhea then escapes a Jaded and she hits a Rip Tide for the win.

After the match, Rhea hugs IYO and she celebrates her win with IYO.
John Cena is now in the ring and he announces that the attendance for tonight’s WrestleMania 42 Night Two is 55,255, while the attendance for both nights is 106,072. John says that is the end of his official duties as host. He says he wanted to take a second to give a heartfelt thank you. Miz and Kit Wilson come out and he tells Cena that he doesn’t get to do it because he is the locker room leader. He didn’t get his Wrestlemania moment last year and he will not leave until he gets his Wrestlemania moment this year.
John says hello to Miz and asks Kit who he is. He says if Miz wants a Wrestlemania moment, he can have it. Before Miz can speak, Danhausen’s music plays and he comes to the ring with his Danhausenettes. Danhausen gets a mic and he says hello to everyone. He says he has finally made it to Wrestlemaniahausen. He says he has something to say to John Cena. He says he is a huge fanhausen and he shakes Cena’s hand.
Miz then says he is turning WrestleMania into a circus. He then says if he wanted to see Wizard of Oz he would go down the street. Kit then says they are toxic and he pushes one of them. Miz then asks Danhausen what is he going to do about it. He then pushes one of his minions on Kit and he punches him in the groinal area. The rest of them then attack Kit. Danhausen then punches Miz in the same area as Kit and Danhausen hits a Cursed Knuckle Shuffle. Danhausen then tells Cena he can’t see him and smoke appears and Danhausen is still there. Cena then says retired life is awesome and WrestleMania is unexpected.
Roman Reigns then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of WrestleMania 42 Night Two and CM Punk follows.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: “The Best In The World” CM Punk (c) vs. “The OTC” Roman Reigns
The match starts off with both men standing in their respective corner. They then move to the center of the ring and they have some words for each other. They back off and circle each other. They lock up and Punk goes for a full nelson but Roman escapes. They lock up and Punk with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Punk tells Roman that is one and Roman gets in Punk’s face. Punk with a side head lock. Roman with a back elbow and Punk gets up and pushes Roman. Roman pushes back. Punk with a slap and side head lock. Punk with a shoulder tackle. Roman with a shoulder tackle. Roman with punches and Punk with a chop.
Roman with a punch and Punk goes to the mat. Roman sends Punk into the turnbuckles and then he clotheslines Punk over the top rope to the floor. Roman goes to the floor and sends Punk into the ring post. Roman tries to send Punk into the announce table but Punk blocks it and he sends Roman into the announce table. Roman with an Irish whip into the ringside barrier. Roman breaks the count and he punches Punk on the floor. Roman sends Punk over the ringside barrier into the crowd. Roman breaks the count and he gets on the announce table while Punk takes a seat in the front row.Punk with punches and he sends Roman back over the ringside barrier.
Punk then hits a clothesline off the ringside barrier. Punk then gets on the announce desk and he poses. Roman then press slams Punk off the announce desk. Roman then gets a near fall. Roman then has more words for Punk. Roman then hits several punches. Punk then punches back. Punk then hits a boot and Roman hits a boot of his own for a near fall. Roman then hits several uppercuts and Punk is caught in the ropes. Roman then hits several clotheslines in the corner. Roman then hits a flying clothesline for a near fall. Roman then sets up for a Superman punch, but Punk moves and Roman hits the turnbuckles. Punk then hits a clothesline and he goes up top and hits a cross body.
Punk then punches Roman. Punk then hits more punches. Punk then hits a leg lariat and he follows it up with a running knee into the corner. Punk then hits a bulldog. Punk then signals that it is over and he waits for Roman to get back to his feet. Punk then gets Roman up, but Roman hits several elbows to escape. Roman then sends Punk shoulder first into the ring post. Roman then hits a Superman punch for a near fall. Roman then looks around and he sets up for a spear, but Punk hits a running knee into the corner. Punk then hits another knee in the corner and a short arm clothesline. Punk then hits another short arm clothesline. Punk then hits a neck breaker.
Punk then clotheslines Roman over the top rope and to the floor and Punk hits a suicide dive. Punk then poses over Roman. Punk then sends Roman’s head into the announce desk and ring steps. Punk then puts Roman on the announce desk and Punk punches him. Punk then returns to the ring and he stops the referee’s count. Punk then goes up top and he sets up for an elbow drop through the table, but Roman recovers and he stops Punk. They then fight on the apron with both men hitting elbows. Punk then hits a boot to Roman and Roman hits a boot to Punk. Roman then puts Punk on the top turnbuckle and he hits a forearm. Roman then puts Punk in the tree of woe and Roman taunts Punk and punches him. Roman then hits a Superman punch to Punk in the tree of woe and he hits another one. Roman then hits a third one.
Roman then goes back to the floor and he picks up the ring steps. Roman then hits Punk with the steps. Roman then adjusts the announce desk. Roman then hits a power bomb through the table. Roman then poses on what is left of the table. Roman then sends Punk into the ring. Roman then does the spear pose and he goes for the spear, but Punk gets Roman up and hits a GTS for a near fall. Punk then gets Roman up again and Roman escapes. Roman then hits a spear for a near fall. Roman rubs Punk’s face on the mat and slams it into the mat many times. Roman signals that it is time for him to hit a GTS.
Roman with a punch and Punk punches back. Roman gets Punk up and he goes for a GTS but Punk blocks it and he connects with a round kick and gets a near fall. Punk sets for his own Superman punch and he hits it and Punk gets a near fall. Punk punches Roman in the head many times. Punk goes to the floor and he gets an ula fala from a fan. Punk signals for the spear and Roman catches Punk and applies a guillotine. Punk with a rollup for a near fall. Punk with the Anaconda Vice. Roman punches Punk and he turns it into another guillotine. Punk escapes and he tries for a Sharpshooter but Roman punches Punk. Roman returns to the guillotine. Punk bridges over and gets a near fall. Roman and Punk collide in the center of the ring and both are down.
Roman and Punk have something to say to each other. Punk and Roman then exchange punches. Punk then hits a knee and Roman hits a knee. Punk then hits a head butt and he regrets it immediately. Punk then takes off the wrist tape and he throws it at Roman. The referee then goes for the tape and Punk hits a low blow and a GTS for a near fall. Punk then hits several elbow drops. Punk then sends Roman to the floor. Punk then sends Roman into the announce desk and he puts him on top of it. Punk then goes up top for an elbow drop through the table and he hits it and the table collapses. Punk then sends Roman back into the ring. Punk then goes for a GTS again and he hits it. Roman then falls into the ropes and he falls onto Punk to try for another GTS, but Punk collapses under Roman’s weight. Punk then gets back to his feet and Roman hits a spear, but Roman is unable to immediately make the cover. Roman then hits another spear and he gets the win.
The winner and new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, “The OTC” Roman Reigns!
After the match, Roman celebrates alone in the ring as pyro goes off. Roman then climbs to the middle rope and raises the championship. Roman then stands tall and raises the championship once again as WrestleMania 42 Night Two comes to a close.
