Shinsuke Nakamura Pays Tribute To AJ Styles

Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles had multiple memorable matches in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment. They last wrestled each other at WWE Saturday Night Main Event last month. At the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Styles lost to Gunther in a career threatening match.

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured a special tribute to AJ Styles and The Phenomenal One officially retired when he took off his gloves and left the in the ring. After AJ delivered a heartfelt speech the WWE roster made their way out into the arena to pay tribute to The Phenomenal One. The Undertaker then made a surprise appearance and he told AJ that he is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2026.

On Instagram, Nakamura paid his respects to The Phenomenal One.

“AJ left the ring with his family by his side.
That’s the right way to go.

We fought.
We pushed each other.
We made history.

As a rival, I respect him.
As a friend, I’m happy for him.
