The final match of the AEW Revolution Zero Hour pre-show before transitioning to the main PPV card was a 21-man Blackjack Battle Royal for the AEW National Championship. Ricochet entered the match as the reigning champion, having been the first-ever holder of the title.
The other competitors in the match were Dalton Castle, AR Fox, The Beast Mortos, Dralistico, RUSH, Johnny TV, Anthony Bowens, Katsuyori Shibata, Scorpio Sky, El Clon, Rocky Romero, Trent Beretta, Daniel Garcia, Tommaso Ciampa, Austin Gunn, Ace Austin, Juice Robinson, and HOOK.
The final three in the match were Ricochet, El Clon, and Perry. Perry tossed Clon and then ended up on the apron with Ricochet. Both men tried to knock the other off and Perry ultimately ended up on Ricochet’s shoulders, but reversed into a PoisonRana to eliminate the champion and get the win.
This was Perry’s first ever AEW National Championship victory in his AEW career.
