AJ Styles Reportedly Signs New WWE Contract

AJ Styles retired from in-ring competition, after his loss to Gunther at the Royal Rumble back on January 31. WWE held a tribute to Styles during this past Monday’s Raw in Atlanta. Towards the end of the segment, The Undertaker came out to annouce Styles as the newest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame.

PWInsider is reporting that multiple sources have confirmed AJ Styles and WWE have come to terms on a new deal that will keep him with the company. The belief is that Styles will be helping the company develop new talent.

Styles recently said on the “Talk’n Shop” podcast that he dreams of helping younger talent feel confident and ready when they enter a WWE ring.

“Let me give you something to talk about. Everybody wants to say, ‘Oh, WWE put him in the Hall of Fame so he couldn’t go to AEW.’Guys, I’m retired from wrestling in the ring. That’s all this is. I make my own choices. I make my own decisions. I was ready. There’s a time where, you know, I’ve said this before, and I think Nattie put it in her book where she talks about staying at the table too long. You’ve got to beat the house. I beat the house, man, because I was on the verge of staying at the table too long.”

As of this writing AJ Styles and Stephanie McMahon are the only two names who have been confirmed for the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class.
