AEW Dynamite Results (4/1/2026)

The show opens up with commentary welcoming us as pyro cuts off Tony Schiavone as he introduces the contract signing between MJF and Kenny Omega for AEW Dynasty. Judas then begins to play, revealing the return of Chris Jericho. The crowd then sings along with his theme as he makes his way down to the ring. When the music finally dies down, the crowd starts chanting “welcome back” and his name and he acknowledges the crowd for it, which gets another big pop. Jericho then poses for the crowd some more as they chant welcome home since he is from Winnipeg. Jericho then gets a mic and finally addresses the crowd.

Jericho then says, “Winnipeg, AEW, I’m home” and hits music hits as the crowd cheers some more. Commentary then addresses him returning after nearly a year away.

We then head to the back, where Will Ospreay is seen going after Jon Moxley. Wheeler Yuta then tries to break things up, only to be sent into some kegs before security arrives to put a stop to things here. They then pull him away as we head back to ringside.

MJF then makes his way down to the ring to get the contract signing underway and Kenny Omega immediately follows. Both men then sit across the table from each other and it seems we get smooth sailing on them signing the contract. Omega then interrupts MJF trying to talk, running him down for always having something to say. Omega then acknowledges MJF’s comments about how AEW’s business is booming. While Omega admits it’s true, he says it’s because people come to see the best wrestle and it isn’t because of MJF. Omega then recalls sharing the personal news with fans about his health situation and praised them for standing by his side.

Kenny Omega then vows to be the one who knocks MJF down a peg or two and says he will be the one to make sure MJF never gets near the AEW World Title again. MJF then mocks Omega and asks, “So this is Kenny Omega at a 100%” and laughs. MJF then says like his “injury prone boyfriend” Kota Ibushi, Omega is one gust of wind away from suffering a career-ending injury. MJF then teases spilling the beans on something about Omega. He then asks the fans to guess why Omega is so keen on becoming AEW World Champion more than anybody on the roster and that is because Omega has visited the doctor. MJF then says the doctor told Omega his diverticulitis is so bad that his intestines can explode anywhere, any time and any minute and his career is a ticking time bomb.

MJF then says at Dynasty all of Kenny Omega’s disciples will be ashamed of him. MJF then says Omega will be better off dead. Omega is ready to strike and MJF is ready to get struck with the clause that if Omega touches him, their match will get canceled. “Speedball” Mike Bailey then interferes and stops him. He then calls MJF out for goading Omega. He then says that if there’s no Kenny, there’s no AEW and if there’s no AEW, there’s no MJF. Bailey then challenges MJF so he can kick some sense into him. Omega then admits that he is missing 24 inches of his intestines and there is truth to his statement. Omega then says he would rather have his intestines missing than his balls. This then riles up MJF, who accepts Bailey’s challenge but says he’s not just facing any old MJF, he’s facing an American hero. MJF’s music then hits as he makes his exit from the ring.

The Demand then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Brody King and Jack Perry follow.

Trios Match: Jurassic Express’ AEW National Champion “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, Brody King and “The Best Bout Machine” Kenny Omega vs. The Demand (Ricochet, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun)

The match starts off with Omega and Kaun and Kaun traps Omega in a side headlock. Omega then counters with one of his own before hitting the ropes, where Ricochet catches him with a knee to distract him. Kaun then hits some shots before making the tag to Liona and he and Ricochet double team Omega. Omega then dodges a strike from Ricochet for a tag to Brody King, who lays some heavy shots on Ricochet. He then goes for a cover, but GOA break it up. They then go after King, sending him to the outside where Omega tries to intervene as well before Perry hits a moonsault on the rest of the opposition.

This then gives Ricochet an opening as he brings King into the ring. King then counters for a suplex before Liona intervenes and the rest of the competitors join for a chain suplex that ends with Omega hitting a move, sending all of them to the mat. Perry is the first to his feet, but he is sent to the outside where he is blindsided by Liona. The Demand have Perry cornered as they continue to beat him down. Liona is now the legal man and he drops Perry for a cover and a two count. A tag is then made to Kaun as the beatdown continues until Perry breaks free for a tag to Omega. He then takes Ricochet to the corner before getting a near fall on Kaun, but Liona is right there to break it up. Liona then gets the tag now but in comes King and The Demand get stacked into the corner for a big cannonball from King. This then allows Omega to go for the cover, but Liona kicks out at two. A tag is then made to Ricochet as Toa runs down Perry and Omegs and Ricochet hits a dive on King.

Both men are back in the ring as Kaun takes out King with a dropkick and Ricochet hits a moonsault on Omega for a near fall. Perry then pulls Ricochet out of the ring followed by GOA and he goes for a dive over the ropes. They then catch him in midair, but get dropped to the floor with a dive by King and Omega goes for a dive of his own, only to be dropped by Ricochet. He then sends King off the apron before hitting a dive. Back on his feet is Ricochet, who climbs the turnbuckle for a 450 but takes a knee strike instead. A V-Trigger is then dodged, but a reverse rana is not as Ricochet gets dropped to the canvas.

Outside the ring, Liona and King go at it leading to King sending Liona over the timekeeper table. Back in the ring, Ricochet hits a thrust kick and an enziguiri on Omega, followed by a Vertigo but Omega kicks out before three. Kaun then hands the National Championship to Ricochet, but Perry stops him long enough for Omega to set up for a One-Winged Angel. Ricochet then reverses into a rana for two, only to be sent to the ropes for a V-Trigger followed by a One-Winged Angel as Omega picks up the win.

The winners of the Trios Match, Jurassic Express’ AEW National Champion “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, Brody King and “The Best Bout Machine” Kenny Omega!

After the match, Perry, King and Omega celebrate their win.

AEW TBS Champion Willow Nightingale then cuts a promo and says she wants to defend her title on Collision tomorrow night, but her opponent has not yet been determined.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage are being interviewed by Renee Paquette and Copeland says this isn’t the night. He then says they came to take FTR out and along with Christian, he storms away.

We then follow Christian Cage and Adam Copeland to the FTR locker room, where they bump into RPG Vice instead. Romero and Trent then say that FTR will be at Collision tomorrow night, but will take a message for the champs. Cage then says these guys are in their way and the message they leave is a chair shot on two members of the Don Callis Family. Cage and Cope then leave the locker room as we head back to ringside.

PAC then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night through the crowd as we hear from Renee Paquette, who relays a message from PAC. Will Ospreay then makes his way down to the ring next, but PAC runs up behind Ospreay to blindside him on the ramp.

Officials and medics then come out to check on Ospreay, who calls for some space as he is slowly stirring. The big focus is on Ospreay’s neck here and we overhear the medic telling Ospreay he doesn’t have to go, but Ospreay is having none of that as he starts heading to the ring. The crowd then chants his name as Ospreay is being told by the doctor to back off, only to slide into the ring anyway. Ospreay then insists he is good and the referee calls for the bell to get this match underway.

Singles Match: The Death Riders’ “The Bastard” PAC vs. “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay

The match starts off with PAC stomping away at Ospreay, targeting the neck as he forces Ospreay to the ropes. The referee then intervenes to check on Ospreay, who claims he’s fine even as PAC starts to go back after him. PAC now has Ospreay trapped in a cravat before Ospreay manages to finally break free to go to the corner. Ospreay then hits a forearm off the ropes for the cover, but PAC kicks out at two. PAC then hits some shots before being sent to the corner, but he fights back from the corner before Ospreay manages to counter a suplex into one of his own. Ospreay then hits a 450, but it’s only good for two.

Ospreay is now back to his feet as he sends PAC to the outside, but PAC intercepts in the corner as the two go at it. Ospreay then goes for a diving sunset powerbomb, but PAC blocks it for a moonsault into a DDT sending Ospreay to the floor below. Both men are now down as the referee begins the count. PAC then returns before the count of eight and Ospreay manages to slide in just in time, only for PAC to trap him in the Brutalizer. Ospreay then crawls over to get a foot on the ropes, forcing the break. Both men then trade shots in the middle of the ring. Ospreay then misses a kick and PAC hits him with a German suplex for a two count.

PAC then hits the ropes but gets caught by Ospreay, who twists him around for a powerbomb and a near fall of his own. Ospreay then takes PAC down once more, but only gets another two for his efforts. Ospreay goes to the corner but is intercepted by PAC, who has some strong words for someone in the crowd before setting Ospreay up on the top for a poison rana…but Ospreay lands on his feet! He charges at PAC, who catches him with a hurricanrana for two. They exchange offense until PAC gets a two count, and then drops Ospreay down hard. He goes up top for a Black Arrow into a Brutalizer, trapping Ospreay near the ropes…until Ospreay powers up to his feet.

He then drops back down to the canvas. The referee then checks on Ospreay, who refuses to give up as he reaches a foot toward the ropes only for PAC to roll through, bringing him back to the middle of the ropes. Ospreay then manages to counter for a pin and he gets the three count for the win.

The winner of the Singles Match, “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay!

After the match, there is no time for celebration as PAC attacks Will Ospreay after the bell rings before the rest of the Death Riders follow suit. Claudio Castagnoli then wraps a chair around Ospreay’s neck, but Moxley holds him back enough to get a microphone. Moxley then says there’s six of us here, so how did you think this was gonna go.

He then says this could have been a very bad situation, but he is just going to give Ospreay some advice and that is next time use your head or you’ll lose it. The Death Riders then leave Ospreay in the ring before heading through the crowd as a graphic reveals Moxley will have a Continental Title Eliminator Match against Anthony Bowens tomorrow on Collision.

Commentary then runs down what’s to come tonight.

Triangle of Madness then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Mina Shirakawa and The Brawling Birds follow.

Trios Match: Mina Shirakawa and The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) vs. Triangle of Madness (AEW Women’s World Champion “The Toxic Spider” Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue)

The match starts off with Mina Shirakawa insisting on going after Thekla first, but Thekla is quick to dodge an attack before Skye Blue tags in. Blue then takes the fight to Shirakawa in the corner, but Shirakawa manages to fight back before hitting the ropes for a clothesline. A tag is then made to Windsor who hits the ropes and a blind tag by Hayter leads to a Brawling Birds double team and a near fall. Shirakawa then comes in for a further assist before getting the tag, who hits a torneo onto Blue for a two count. Blue then fights off Shirakawa before knocking the Brawling Birds off the apron and this allows Thekla a chance to lay a boot to the head of Shirakawa. She then sends Shirakawa back into the ring.

All six women then hit a chain suplex sending each other to the mat. Windsor and Thekla are the first back to their feet as they trade shots until Shirakawa gets a tag for some revenge on Thekla. She then takes Thekla to the mat for a figure four leg lock, but the Triangle of Madness run in for the save as all six women go back at it. This then ends with Shirakawa and Thekla once more and they knock each other to the mat as the referee begins the count. They then get back up for tags to Hart and Hayter, but the Brawling Birds have to deal with Thekla trying to use some brass knuckles. They then stop it before taking Blue and Thekla out and Hayter hits Hart with the Hayterade for the win.

The winners of the Trios Match, Mina Shirakawa and The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor)!

We then take a look at the Blackjack Battle Royal and the situation between Juice Robinson and Tommaso Ciampa before those two face off tomorrow on Collision.

We then head back to ringside, where Darby Allin comes out with a microphone. Allin says he was keeping on the throttle until he meets God, but since he is not around he wants to talk to the Devil. Allin then talks about MJF’s dealings with the Don Callis Family and how he hopes anyone can beat MJF so he can stop this BS run that he’s on. Allin then calls out MJF, but is met with the Don Callis Family instead. Callis then talks about how much they’re being paid to help MJF out and that MJF will have a handpicked member of the Don Callis Family facing Allin at Dynasty. He then says if Allin wins then MJF will be happy to give a shot at the World Title after he destroys Kenny Omega and the handpicked member that will face Allin is Andrade El Idolo.

Andrade El Idolo looks surprised by this before Don Callis says he was also paid a good sum to take Allin out right now and the Don Callis Family goes after him. They then start to go after Allin when Brody King comes out for the save, forcing the Don Callis Family to retreat before Kenny Omega comes out to ringside.

Kenny Omega then heads to commentary as MJF makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night. Mike Bailey then follows, but MJF blindsides him before this match gets underway.

AEW World Championship Eliminator Match: AEW World Champion MJF vs. JetSpeed’s AEW World Trios Champion “Speedball” Mike Bailey

The match starts off with Bailey starting to fight back, but he is quickly sent to the outside as MJF maintains control. MJF then brings Bailey back into the ring before Bailey blocks him and sends MJF to the ropes for a hurricanrana, but MJF counters with a powerbomb for two. MJF then brings Bailey to his feet, but gets tripped up instead. MJF then hits a thumb to the eyes, but takes a series of kicks by Bailey in response before being sent to the mat. Bailey then continues the flurry of offense for a standing shooting star press and a two count. Bailey then hits the ropes for a lunging kick to the face of MJF before taking him to the floor below.

The referee then begins the count, but Bailey brings MJF back into the ring for another kick taking MJF out. Bailey then goes up top, but MJF rolls out of the way to the apron and he hangs Bailey up on the ropes in the process. MJF then comes back in for a backbreaker, but Bailey counters for a two count. MJF then gets a near fall as well before Bailey stacks him up with a straightjacket for a two count before MJF kicks out. Bailey then heads to the ropes as MJF goes for a Heatseeker, but Bailey breaks free for a Liger bomb that gets another near fall. Both men are now down as the referee checks on them and Bailey rolls to the ropes, only to be intercepted by MJF. MJF then looks for a Heatseeker, but settles for a low dropkick instead sending Bailey to the floor.

He hen finds Omega at commentary and flips him off before going back to the ropes as he looks for another Heatseeker on Bailey. Bailey then counters out, sending MJF to the floor. Bailey then regains control as he sets up for Ultima Weapon, but MJF rolls out of the way only to take a kick from Bailey. Another one sends MJF to the corner and this allows for the Ultima Weapon off the rope as Bailey covers for a two count. MJF then starts to turn things back around when he hits a tombstone piledriver sending Bailey into the apron, staring at Omega as he yells “God bless America” before hitting Bailey with the Heatseeker for the win.

The winner of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Match, AEW World Champion MJF!

After the match, MJF celebrates his win for just a moment before attacking Bailey but Omega manages to run him out of the ring. MJF then holds his title up high, telling Omega to look at his future before heading to the back. A medic then comes out to check on Bailey as commentary runs down tomorrow night’s special edition of Collision. Omega then helps Bailey to his feet as the crowd cheer and Bailey repays the favor by holding Omega’s arm up high as the show comes to a close.
