The premiere episode of TNA Impact on the AMC network featured two changes and announced new match for the card of Genesis 2026, which takes place on January 17th at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas.
In regards to the changes made, Lei Ying Lee will no longer defend the TNA Knockouts World Championship against Dani Luna. Luna is unable to compete due to visa issues. As such, Lee agreed to an open challenge for the show. Zaria and Sol Ruca from NXT came out, with Zaria picking up the challenge.
Additionally, TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater is unable to compete at Genesis. He was scheduled to defend the title in a three-way involving Cedric Alexander and Moose. Now, Joe Hendry will take Slater’s place in the three-way and Alexander will get his title match at a later date.
Finally, Mara Sade and Ryan Nemeth will compete in a singles match.
