As noted before, Ava announced on Friday that she will be departing WWE after deciding not to renew her contract.
Following the announcement, WWE issued a public statement via Fightful Select stating that they wishes Ava all the best in her future endeavors and commended her work in the company.
“WWE thanks and applauds Simone Garcia Johnson for her stellar work as Ava and beyond. Her passion, dedication, and impact were felt across the entire NXT and WWE community. We wish her the very best in all future endeavors.”
Ava, real name Simone Johnson, is the daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. On WWE television, she served as the NXT General Manager, a position she had held since January 2024. She first reported to the WWE Performance Center in February 2020, making history as the first fourth-generation wrestler to sign with the company.
