WWE taped next week’s episode of WWE SmackDown on Friday night from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the taping featured a notable title change.
During the Friday Night SmackDown tapings Carmelo Hayes challenged Ilja Dargunov for the WWE United States Championship, and Hayes picked up the win to become the new United States Champion.
The victory marks Hayes’ first reign as United States Champion.
