As previously reported, former NXT General Manager Ava, real name Simone Garcia Johnson, departed from WWE this past Friday following her not renewing her contract with the company.
Bodyslam+ is reporting that WWE offered Ava an increase in money to stay with the company but she turned it down and decided that it was ultimately time to leave. Some within WWE believe that she will go on to work with her parents in some capacity.
Before becoming the General Manager of NXT, Ava had a short run as a wrestler on NXT. In 2023, she had 6 matches in NXT. Her debut match took place at NXT Stand & Deliver 2023 Kickoff. Her last match took place at NXT Heatwave 2023, where she lost to Ivy Nile.
