Andrade El Idolo Breaks Silence On AEW Return

Andrade El Ídolo is officially back in AEW. El Ídolo showed up on last night’s AEW Dynamite, attacking Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey during a post-match brawl involving The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, The Demand, JetSpeed, and The Don Callis Family.

Afterward, AEW President Tony Khan took to social media to officially welcome Andrade back to the company.

Khan wrote:“He’s back, and he’s All Elite! Welcome back to @AEW, @AndradeElIdolo! #AEWDynamite”

Later, Andrade responded to Khan’s post.

“Once again, thank you very much, Sir!!! @AEW! ¡Vamos a romperla!!” Andrade replied.

Andrade had left WWE for AEW originally in June 2021, until his contract expired at the end of 2023. He would return to WWE on January 27, 2024 at the Royal Rumble, but by September 2025, had been fired supposedly from Wellness Policy violations.

He would pull up on the sixth anniversary of AEW Dynamite on October 1, 2025, attacking Kenny Omega and joining The Don Callis Family, only to then be pulled from future appearances due to a non-compete clause within his WWE contract that would prevent him from wrestling for AEW for an entire year, and had apparently not actually signed a contract with AEW for that appearance. Over the past few months, that has clearly been worked out, and Andrade is now back.
