According to a report from Figthful Select, WWE and Lucha Libre AAA talent Santos Escobar reportedly is currently scheduled to be undergoing surgery for a torn tricep injury. The site reports that Escobar has been dealing with the injury for some time and him participating in the Rey de Reyes 2026 Finals match at this past Saturday’s AAA Rey de Reyes 2026 Week 1 event ended up causing his injury to worsen.
Fightful reports that the injury originally occurred at a NXT house show tour during WWE’s Royal Rumble 2026 weekend. Santos had working with El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. during this tour.
It was initially feared to be an injury and not a tricep tear. It was confirmed in the report that Escobar sustained a torn tricep injury and is scheduled to undergo surgery on Thursday, March 19, 2026.
