On March 5th, 2026, it was reported that WWE SmackDown co-lead writer Brian “Road Dogg” James departed from WWE, he decided to leave the company after receiving his annual performance review, which he was reportedly unhappy with.
Recently Squared Circle Expo announced that Road Dogg will be appearing at their convention at the Wyndham Indianapolis West on March 27 and 28. Road Dogg will be reuniting with Billy Gunn at an annual indie event produced by Great Lakes Championship Wrestling, Blizzard Brawl 21, this December.
Squared Circle Expo posted the following announcement:
