The March 6th, episode of WWE SmackDown aired live from the Moda Center in Portland, OR and the show featured Cody Rhodes defeating Drew McIntyre to become the new Undisputed WWE Championship.
The post-show reaction to the decision to put the title back on Cody has been met with negative reactions from some fans on social media. However, new report indicates that the reaction hasn’t caused any concern within WWE itself.
It was noted on WrestleVotes Live Q&A on Fightful Select that there was no real backlash to Cody Rhodes beating Drew to win the Undisputed WWE Championship within WWE, and people backstage aren’t displeased about Cody being back on top.
Randy Orton is scheduled to face off against Rhodes for the title at WrestleMania 42 event. As for Drew McIntyre his match has not been officially announced yet, but it was recently reported that McIntyre is expected to clash with Jacob Fatu at this April’s WrestleMania 42 event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
