AEW Collision Results (3/7/26)

The show opens up with Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness welcoming us as The Rascalz make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night. FTR then make their way down to the ring with Stokely.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax “The Axe” Harwood) (c) vs. The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz)

The match starts off with Zachary Wentz and Cash Wheeler and Wentz takes down Wheeler, but he is quick to get up. Both men then lock up in the center of the ring as Wheeler pushes Wentz to the corner. Dax Harwood is then tagged in. Harwood then takes down Wentz with a headlock, but he is quick to get up. Harwood then grabs Wentz, but he takes him down with an arm bar. Harwood then slaps Wentz and jaws at him. Wentz then slaps Harwood right back as he retreats to the floor. Harwood then gives the middle finger to a fan at ringside. Xavier is then tagged in. He and Harwood then lock up as Harwood chops Xavier, who fights back with big forearms blows to the face but Harwood fires back, sending Xavier to the floor.

The referee is then distracted as Stokely chokes out Xavier. FTR then double teams Xavier, but Wentz leaps over the ropes with a big tornado, landing on FTR. The fans then go crazy over the big move. Xavier then chops Harwood and sends him face first into the steel steps. Xavier then rolls Harwood back in the ring and covers him, but Harwood kicks out at two. Wentz is then tagged in as he comes off the top, landing on Harwood and covers him for only a two count. Wentz, in the corner of FTR fights his way out. Harwood then leads Wentz to the floor as Wheeler comes out of nowhere at drop him with a big lariat.

FTR are now battering Wentz, but Wentz manages to get to his partner. Xavier then fires up on Harwood and Wheeler, hitting them with fast strikes and nailing Harwood with a huge cutter out of a combination. Harwood then does manage to cut him off with a devastating clothesline, but they are unable to keep either of the Rascalz on their backs for long. The Rascalz then both grab FTR for double sunset flip pins, but it is only good for a two count. After a pair of suicide dives, Xavier and Wentz hit a Frog Splash/Swanton Bomb combination on Harwood, but they can’t secure the pinfall.

Wentz then avoids a backslide and catches Harwood near the ropes and Harwood just barely kicks out. Harwood then gets his knees up for the Hot Fire Flame and FTR nail Wentz with the EVP Trigger, but it only gets a near fall. The Rascalz then manage to stop a Meltzer Driver attempt. Harwood then hits Wentz with a hand spring off the ropes. FTR then hit the Shatter Machine for the win.

After the match, FTR celebrate in the ring and Mark Briscoe’s music hits as he comes out to shake hands with FTR congratulating them on their successful title defense. Briscoe then gives them a thumbs up. Briscoe will be on commentary for our next match, which is coming up next.

We then head to the back, where HOOK is still trying to recruit for The Opps. Anthony Bowens then comes in and says he thought about what HOOK said last week and he can be a killer. HOOK then tells him to grab the camera from Shibata. HOOK then finds someone and asks him if he wants to be a wrestler. The guy then says yes as HOOK chokes him out.

Daniel Garcia then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Tommaso Ciampa follows.

Singles Match: The Death Riders’ Daniel Garcia vs. “The Psycho Killer” Tommaso Ciampa

The match starts off with Daniel Garcia staying in the corner before both men lock up in the center of the ring. Ciampa then takes Garcia down, but he gets up and goes to the apron and drops to the floor. Garcia then comes back in as both men lock up again. Ciampa then grabs the arm of Garcia and holds on. Garcia then breaks the hold and shoves Ciampa, but he is met with a big boot to the chest and a hammer throw to the corner. Ciampa then has Garcia in the corner and hits him with big right hands and mocks him with hip thrusts. Ciampa then nails Garcia with a big right hand, dropping him to the mat. Garcia is on the apron now. Ciampa then tries to bring him back in the ring, but Ciampa is hit with a dragon screw leg whip. Garcia then works on the left leg of Ciampa using the ring post. Garcia then poses and the referee checks on Ciampa.

Garcia then continues to go after Ciampa’s leg, but Ciampa manages to catch a diving Daniel with a leaping knee. Ciampa then hits Garcia with a second one and he is on the apron. Ciampa and Briscoe’s eyes then meet as Ciampa bounces Garcia’s face off the announce desk. Garcia then counters another knee from Ciampa, bringing him down with a dragon screw and immediately transitioning to the single leg Boston Crab. Garcia then locks in the STF, but Ciampa bites his arm to break it. Garcia then responds with a shotgun dropkick into the corner, but Ciampa pulls him out of there with a Project Ciampa. Garcia then antagonizes Briscoe and Briscoe inadvertently gets in Ciampa’s way, allowing Garcia to get him with a jackknife pin for the win.

After the match, Briscoe offers to shake Ciampa’s hand, but Ciampa is fuming and he slaps it out of the way. FTR then make their way down to the ring, seemingly to have Briscoe’s back and get revenge for Wednesday. Briscoe then decides to side with Ciampa, trying to calm things down. Ciampa and Briscoe then leave together, but the fans aren’t happy about the way this has gone down. Ciampa then turns on Briscoe. Ciampa grabs him by the head and sends him into the giant screen. A big knee then lays Briscoe out as Ciampa spits on his bandana and wipes his butt with it, under the gear and FTR are happy about this one.

We then get a video package looking at Claudio Castagnoli vs. Konosuke Takeshita.

Swerve Strickland then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night with Prince Nana and Gravity is already in the ring.

Singles Match: Swerve Strickland vs. Gravity

The match starts off with Strickland taking down Gravity, but he gets back up. Strickland then kicks Gravity in the back and the mid-section. Gravity then runs the ropes as Strickland nails him with a big boot to the face. Gravity is the corner now. Gravity then hits Strickland with a big boot and back elbow, but Strickland has none of it, dropping Gravity. He then comes back with a big kick to the back of Strickland, but it makes him mad. Gravity then grabs Strickland by the arms and rolls him up, but Strickland kicks out at two.

Strickland is up on the apron now and Strickland stomps Gravity and sends him to the floor. Strickland then sends Gravity into the steel steps and he tries to take off his mask. Strickland then drags Gravity to the apron, sending his head into the top turnbuckle pad. Strickland is up on the top and he comes down, landing a huge Swerve Stomp. Strickland then hits the house call for the win.

After the match, Swerve Strickland stares at the camera.

We then get a backstage vignette from Kris Statlander, where she calls out Thekla after Dynamite.

The music of Thekla then hits as she makes her way out, saying no repeatedly and saying absolutely not. Thekla then says she is sorry and since when does the challenger get to say what the match will be. Thekla then says she is not doing a 2 out of 3 falls match at Revolution and if Kris Statlander doesn’t like, she can kiss her toxic a**. Thekla then says what makes her think that she can be beat twice in one night. Thekla then says Kris wants to be like her. Thekla then gets in the ring and says Thunder Rosa should have listened to her as she sent Rosa back to the graveyard. Thekla then says Kris should quit because everything she is afraid of is everything she is.

We then get a sneak peak of Up Close with Renee Paquette talking to Jon Moxley about his upcoming title defense at Revolution. The episode drops Tuesday on YouTube.

LFI then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the nigh and The Swirl, Private Party and The Outrunners follow.

$200,000 4-Way Tag Team Match: The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) vs. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) vs. LFI (“El Toro Blanco” Rush and Dralistico) vs. The Swirl (“Vanilla Baby” Blake Christian and “Big Shotty” Lee Johnson)

The match starts off with all competitors in the ring and it seems that LFI and The Swirl are set to work together. RUSH and Dralistico then run wild, taking out The Swirl, The Outrunners and Private Party. Isiah Kassidy then tags out to Turbo Floyd and The Outrunners are running wild on The Swirl and LFI. They then hit repeated body slams over and over. Floyd then sends Christian down on top of the rest of the competitors with a superplex. Back inside the ring, LFI blocks an elbow drop, leaving them and Private Party in the ring. Kassidy then stuns Dralistico on the apron, but he recovers, sending Kassidy crashing to the floor with a hurricanrana.

Dralistico then follows it up with a codebreaker off the top to Quen. RUSH then goes for the Bulls Horns, but Magnum cuts him off. Christian then hits Kassidy with a diving Destroyer, but Quen makes the save. They then set Lee Johnson up for an electric chair cutter after hitting a neckbreaker/diving stomp combination and they hit for the win.

After the match, Private Party celebrate with the fans at ringside.

We then get a recap of the Don Callis Family capturing the AEW World Trios Tag Team Titles after MJF takes out “Hangman” Adam Page at ringside.

We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is with JetSpeed. Lexy asks them how they are recovering. Knight then talks about more opportunities in the future. Knight then says he let his team down. Bailey then says he did not let his team down and they all lost the titles. Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana then comes in and tells Lexy to leave before she gets hurt. Swerve then tells Knight if wants to walk among killers, he has to become one.

We then go to an earlier today segment, where we see Megan Bayne and Lena Kross attacking the Babes of Wrath backstage.

Megan Bayne and Lena Kross then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa follows.

Tag Team Match: Timeless Love Bombs (“Timeless” Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa) vs. “The Megasus” Megan Bayne and Lena Kross

The match starts off with Mina Shirakawa and Megan Bayne and Bayne sends Shirakawa to the ropes. Shirakawa then comes back, trying to suplex Bayne but she is hit with a shoulder tackle by Bayne. Kross and Bayne then double team Storm and Shirakawa with fall away slams. Storm then rolls to the floor as Kross nails Shirakawa in the chest. Kross then kicks Shirakawa in the mid-section. Kross then picks up Shirakawa, spins her and drops her to the mat, covering her for a two count. Bayne is then tagged in. Bayne then hits shoulder blocks and she chops Shirakawa.

Bayne then goes for a kick, but rolls and Storm is tagged in. Storm then takes down Bayne and hits a hip attack and a shotgun drop kick. Bayne is up and she sends Storm to the ropes, who then sends Bayne and Kross to the floor. Shirakawa then comes off the top, taking out Bayne and Kross with a big crossbody. Bayne then takes out Luther, Storm and Shirakawa with a suicide dive. Storm and Shirakawa are now back in it momentarily. Bayne then catches both opponents for a fallaway slam/Samoan Drop combination. They then fight toward the corner with Storm and Shirakawa going for a double superplex on Bayne and Kross joins in for a Tower of Doom.

Storm then nails Bayne with the running hip attack in the corner and Shirakawa follows it up with the diving slingblade. She then goes for the Figure 4, but Bayne is able to roll her over. Kross and Storm then go in and out of the ring, turning their partners back and forth until Kross just breaks it up with a leaping senton onto Shirakawa. Before Shirakawa can tag out to Storm, Marina Shafir pulls Storm to the floor, locks in a Mother’s Milk and rolls her under the ring. Shirakawa is alone in the ring now and Kross hits her with a Jackhammer for the win.

Mark Briscoe then cuts a promo backstage and he talks about being attacked by Tomasso Ciampa earlier in the night. Briscoe then says that is what he was expecting and the Ciampa he remembers. Briscoe then says shame on him for letting his guard down. Briscoe then says shame on Ciampa for aligning with FTR. Briscoe then challenges FTR and Ciampa to match with the Young Bucks as his tag team partners.

The Dogs then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and their opponents are already in the ring.

Trios Match: The Dogs (David Finlay, Clark Connors and Gabe Kidd) vs. three enhancement talents

The match starts off with Gabe Kidd knocking two of their opponents off the apron while Connors spears the other. Finlay then powerbombs the legal man and launches him across the ring with a release suplex. Kidd then decapitates another guy with a rebound lariat and Connors spikes him with a sheer drop brainbuster. Kidd then hits the Gotch-style piledriver and Finlay hits him with the Overkill and follows it up with a vertical suplex and a knee to the face for the win.

Toni Storm then makes her way out and she cuts a promo. Storm makes a challenge to Marina Shafir with everyone banned from ringside for a match at Revolution. Storm then says she wants the AEW Women’s World Title back.

We then get a recap of Persephone defeating Mercedes Moné for the CMLL Women’s World Title on Friday night in Mexico. Persephone will now challenge AEW TBS Champion Willow Nightingale on Wednesday.

Claudio Castagnoli then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night and Konosuke Takeshita follows.

Singles Match: The Death Riders’ CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli vs. Don Callis Family’s NJPW World TV Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita

The match starts off with both men locking up in the center of the ring. Castagnoli then takes Takeshita down, but he gets up and is sent down again as Castagnoli locks the arm of Takeshita. Castagnoli then rolls up Takeshita for only a one count. Both men are in the corner now as the referee calls for a break. We then get one looked like a clean break, but Castagnoli cheap shots Takeshita. He then fights back, but Castagnoli drops him face first into the turnbuckle. Castagnoli then stomps on Takeshita in the corner. Castagnoli then applies a headlock on Takeshita, but he breaks the hold. Castagnoli then runs the ropes, but he is met with a big boot to the face by Takeshita.

Castagnoli then goes to the floor, but he is quick to get back in the ring. Castagnoli then tries to take down Takeshita, but he won’t go down. Both men then attempt shoulder blocks, but neither man will drop. Castagnoli then pokes Takeshita, drops him and stomps on his left arm. Castagnoli is on the apron now and he is sent head first into the turnbuckle as the fans count along to ten. Marina Shafir then gives the middle finger to Takeshita, which is a distraction as it gives Castagnoli an opening to work on the left arm of Takeshita.

Takeshita then goes for the knee, but Castagnoli blocks the knee and hits Takeshita with a giant swing. Castagnoli then applies a modified STF with an armbar. Castagnoli then tosses a chair in the ring and grabs his title. While the referee is distracted, Hechicero runs down and pulls the belt away. Takeshita then takes advantage of Hechicero’s distraction and he hits Castagnoli with a tope con hilo. Castagnoli then kicks out after a knee and he nails Takeshita with a few clotheslines. Takeshita then responds with a massive elbow. Takeshita is then hit with several European uppercuts, but rolls through the Neutralizer and nails Castagnoli with the running knee. Takeshita then hits the Raging Fire for the win.

After the match, Moxley gets in Takeshita’s face and as they heat up, Hechicero blindsides Moxley. Takeshita then pulls Hechicero off of him and says he doesn’t need it. Takeshita doesn’t want to do it this way, but it’s too late. Castagnoli then runs in to fight Hechicero and Takeshita and Moxley are brawling. We then get an all-out brawl as referees come down to try to restore order. Tony Schiavone then says we are out of time as the show comes to a close.
