On this week’s episode of SmackDown, WWE United States Champion Carmelo Hayes issued a US Open Challenge for his title. Before Hayes heads to the ring he was showing backstage talking to Nick Aldis. Nick told Hayes that he is doing a great job as champion. Nick then says he has been getting requests from all over the world and he has one that is a tremendous one.
After that, Carmelo Hayes made his way out, he waited in the ring. Then El Hijo De Dr Wagner Jr came out to face him. Ultimately it was Carmelo Hayes who get the win and retain his title.
After the match, Hayes and Wagner shake hands.
Dr. Wagner Jr. is the current AAA Latin American Champion, he defeats El Mesías to capture the title at AAA TripleMania XXXIII in August.
