As noted,Andrade El Idolo made his surprise return to AEW this past January. Andrade had initially returned this past October but was quickly pulled due to issues related to his non-compete clause situation with WWE that was eventually resolved this past December clearing him for a return.
In a recent response to a fan on Twitter on Tuesday, Andrade stated that he would like to retire in All Elite Wrestling and he is not joking about it.
“I would like to retire here! I’m not kidding.
I’m here to contribute to the company, and I’m here to become one of the greats of AEW.”
El Idolo is scheduled to face Omega on the Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite.
