Ava’s time with WWE has come to an end.
The former NXT General Manager released a statement on social media today revealing that last Tuesday’s episode of NXT was her last with the company, saying that she decided not to renew her contract.
“This past Tuesday was my last appearance on NXT & subsequently WWE. Thank you to all who have cheered, watched, and supported me through my journey. While my decision to not renew my contract was very difficult, it’s also a new turning point in my life. It has been an honor & a privilege to be Ava.”
Ava, real name Simone Johnson is the daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. She first reported to the WWE Performance Center in February of 2020 and she later went on to make her television on NXT in October of 2022 as a member of Schism. After Schism ended she went on to become the on screen assistant to Shawn Michaels and she was promoted to NXT General Manager in January of 2024.
