At NXT New Year’s Evil Oba Femi successfully defended the NXT Championship against Leon Slater in the main event. After the match Oba Femi left his NXT Championship in the middle of the ring, seemingly vacating the belt, with WWE later confirming that the title had been vacated.
WWE posted to social media on Saturday that NXT General Manager Ava will speak about the future of the title on NXT’s show on The CW next week.
