On Wednesday, WWE announces that Oba Femi vacated the NXT Championship when the company posted the following announcement:

After his victory at #NewYearsEvil, Oba Femi has officially vacated the #WWENXT Championship. Stay tuned for more details.”
Following the show, Femi commented on Instagram about his decision to vacate his NXT Championship stating “The End is also part of the journey 🪶 FIN !“
Femi’s second reign as NXT World Champion comes to an end after 32 days. He captured the title from Ricky Saints at WWE NXT: Deadline and went on to make two successful defenses, defeating Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater.
