Former North American Champion Tony D’Angelo’s hasn’t been seen on WWE NXT programming in quite some time, And Now D’Angelo’s current status has been revealed.
According to a new Fightful report, D’Angelo was backstage at the November 11 NXT show in Orlando, but wasn’t dressed to train or film anything for TV. The report noted that it had been “a rarity to see him these days” and people were happy to see him there.
Tony D’Angelo’s latest WWE appearance was on NXT July 29 episode in a pre-taped backstage segment. The clip showed him being confronted by a shadowy figure after retiring his Don persona.
Along with the North American Championship, D’Angelo is a former Heritage Cup and two-time NXT Tag Team Champion, with Lorenzo.
No word as of yet on when D’Angelo may return to WWE TV.
